I posted a freebie into freestuff and an illustration of what it was into poser (Because it was a poser prop) and illustration (because I was illustrating it) Then one of the admin PMd say I was 'required' to post it in a diffenent gallery, and as I had not he/she had done it for me. Now what the hell does it matter? What difference did it make to the price of beans? - I posted in the wrong gallery - OMG!

Ok, from now on I will be posting my free stuff models in ShareGC

Fine with me. Just be a dear and post a link?

It matters because we have specific galleries for specific items...if its a render of a freestuff item being offered to the community, then it needs to be placed in the freestuff gallery..it works the same way as the MP showcase gallery...

From the freestuff gallery header:

The Freestuff Gallery is intended for images of all usable freestuff items offered to the community. Here you can showcase your items in a rendered environment, giving the community a better view of the items being in use. Items that are not free should go to the  Product Showcase gallery

Images advertising no usable content, but instead are for general viewing, should be placed in their respective galleries, not the Freestuff Gallery.

I remember freaking out when they useta transfer my pix from one gallery to another at one of the porno sites, but I finally realised it don't matter where they stick 'em, if users are looking at another users' general gallery.  they're all gonna be there, regardless of the categories.

True that Miss Nancy..but if one wanted to just look at what was in Freestuff...then one wouldn't find anything that wasn't placed there in that category.

Same thing in the freestuff section..or the MP..

Its mainly about improvement of the search feature...if you are doing a 'specific' search for v4 items in freestuff, and you see something for m4 pop up, its because it is mis-categorized. etc. etc.

Ok, Jumpstart, that makes sense. But when an admin PMs please try making it less like one is being chastised (I know, it wasn't you).

I've run into that here before too...it doesn't take much to stop and think how you would like to be treated...especially when you are having to take the time to type it...and then treat the person accordingly.    I think sometimes a mod is having a bad day or getting a little over zealous.

Dunno it they're used here, but at other sites, the poor overworked mods, in a hurry, sometimes resort to sending the default "form letters", which are often somewhat formal, impersonal, and do tend to read a bit like a traffic ticket.

We do use form letters for the most part..it keeps more of the personal out of it..but sometimes the staff will use only portions of the form letters in order to not appear inhuman..

Sometimes its a good thing, sometimes not...we try tho. ;)
