Hi guys!
Ok. I saw VUE Frontier and LOVE the software. It's $99 BUT im so confused since i've seen other VUe version over thousands of dolars... my question is.. i know Vue is a powerfull software BUT i do comics basically using Poser and postwork, so i will love to add a Landscape and nature scene sotware, i dont wan to animate, only a better render and lightning sotware with some real cool landscape....
Is Vue Frontier for me?... what else do i have to get?
what about Vue SciFi and Fantasy??? can i get it??? Please help me!!
Let me know which is the best option for me!
Thanks a LOT!

You need to have the ecosystem module and the object importer for Vue to be "something that makes a difference". I think you'll have to get Vue Studio for that.
Not being able to make your own ecosystems is like not having Vue at all IMHO :)
Check E-ON's website for comparative charts.

Welcome to Vue! I would say Frontier is good to start with, but without the 3D Import and RenderUp (both included with Esprit) modules is fairly limited. The SciFi and Fantasy versions are even more limited. You can get Frontier and then get just the content packs for SciFi and Fantasy and have a better program.
The nice part about Vue is the modules can be bought one at a time. It's more expensive then just buying the higher versions, but sometimes it's easier to go $100 or less at a time upward...
First thing to do though is to try the free Personal Learning Edition (PLE) or demo versions and make sure your computer can handle the software. Nothing worse then investing in software to find out your hardware just can't deal with it.

Here a combo with high discount:
Vue 9 Frontier cub price for $25 (save $75)
3DImport + Exporter for $139 (save $99)
DeepAccess + EcoSystem for $69 (save $69)
KronosFX + Botanica for $39 (save $39)
HyperVue + RenderUp for $69 (save $69)
It seems possible to remove some unneeded modules from the cart again, without losing the discount. For example I removed the Exporter and still got a discount on 3DImport. This was with all the other modules still in the cart.
Essentially I was getting a Vue 9 version that only lacks 3DExport, Zephyr and Advanced Graph and in total I paid something like $360 (including the club membership). And for this purchase I received enough store credits to get the Vue Extras CD for free.
Note that due to using Vue 9 Frontier as the basis, you might not have the same upgrade rights as owners of the Vue Artist series. But you also get SkinVue, which is useful when importing Poser objects.
Let me know if above shopping links work for any of you. I received one such link with a promo newsletter and by modifying the ID in the URL I found out about all the other module bundles.
Greetings from Munich,
Christian

Hmm, it may be that these links are no longer giving any discounts now. The newsletter advertised it as a rather short-lived promotion (something like a 48 hour time window).

Wow thank you so much cbuchner1!!
Thanks anyway for all the info!. You've been very helpful!.

Do make sure to sign up for the e-on newsletter and the Cornucopia3D newsletter. That way you don't miss any of the sales. They do have lots of sales and "48 hour" deals.

And it would appear they're still mailing out links from the above selection. I just don't know if they've become smarter and gave each link an individual expiration date.

And you must check out the Vue tutorials at Geekatplay. Extremely helpful. Also you may want to check out Bryce 7 at Daz3D. They have a free personal learning edition. It does many things the Vue does complete without adding modules and it's cheaper but the interface is not as efficient IMO. It sadly lacks a decent Scene content management tab, just like Poser. I find that excruciatingly frustrating. BTW I purchased Advance Figure Manager at RuntimeDNA that gives Poser 8/Pro 2010 a decent Scene content management tab.
