I used Marvelous Designer's uninstall feature and it dug too deep and kinda trashed some stuff. (Was planning on entering the Holiday Contest, but the problems affected my computer too much to get done on time.)
I'm having all sorts of troubles. E.g. a lot of clothes and hair don't comform. Even if they load in the right spot they don't follow the figure. Etc. System also is bogged down (slow refresh rates, render times etc).
Any ideas what to do? I downloaded and installed a Windows C++ pack and tried to repair with it, but even though I don't get the error messages anymore, my machine is far from fixed.

Probably re-install DS since it installs C++ Redistributable all the time (every install installs the same one over and again). And apparently it does it so you can conform things or whatever it does. Hope that helps, other then that, I have no clue really.

Thanks... I uninstalled the C++ Redistributable then reinstalled... not sure if it's better or not... everything still seems awfully slow, but so far things seem to be working at least.

What OS and what versions of Poser or Daz studio are you running ?
try to remember to create a system restore point before removing stuff, it makes recovery easier.
Check in Control Panel > installed programs for Microsoft Net Framework 1.1 , 2.0 , 3.0, 3.5 and Microsoft c++ redistributable . If any of those are present click on them and check the right hand info. It should tell you when it was last used and how often its used. If you use the application several times a week anything indicating 'rarely' is not relevant.

Thanks. I'm on XP Pro and run the latest (Poser Pro 2010 and DS3 free version).
I know these things get used, for sure.
Last night I tried a simulation again. Stupid thing failed after an hour or two, at frame 24, so that was very frustrating.
