That's a neat and quick demo. Although for aiming I often use a target helper and point-at modifier instead of those quick tools on the lights themselves.
I know they're not specific to the spotlight, but you could also have shown the lighting mode settings for the stage's interactive renderer (which makes composing dramatic lighting a little easier with a real-time preview) and a little bit of the things on the effects tab which affect spotlights.

I will do a video only about Effects tab later. Since almost all effect can be used in more them one light kind I will do as a separeted lesson.
What you mean real time preview? Use openGL?

I think pauljs75 was refering to the "Lighting Mode" in the "Interactive Renderer Settings". If you select "Scene Lights" instead of the default "Light Map" you'll see a more accurate representation of lights in OGL. It's really handy. Not as accurate as an actual render but far more accurate than light maps.

Thanks Jonny, I will show this and other tips with a lesson when Lights are done... theres more to show how about light only some objects in the scene and many tips.
