In any version of Blender v 2.45 to 2.5x.  I'm having a heck of a time trying to put my texture map on for example V4 head so I can sculpt.  Is there a way where I can put in textures in Blender and see it on screen.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

switch draw type to textured, then dependent on how your machine is configured you should see the textures.

----------

Toolset: Blender, GIMP, Indigo Render, LuxRender, TopMod, Knotplot, Ivy Gen, Plant Studio.

In 2.5x, you can also tick the Textured solid box in the propertiies panel.

That must be the new version, because I don't have that in the properties panel.  Also, it seems to be a chore to get the textures to align in V4's head for example.  I have to figure out where to place them, should I check in the Planar, or the UV -- geez I don't k now what I'm doing.

Bummed!

P.S., thanks for the help.

Put your cursor over the 3D view and press N to bring up the object properties panel. Expand the Display panel and the option appears near the bottom.

Thanks Touchwood for that, I got it.  I should know to press N to bring the object properties.

Now, am I doing this right, I want to apply the texture, but do I pick UV in the Coordinates or what other method should I use?

The figure is UV mapped so you'll want to use UV coordinates (nothing else will work).

I did that.  I still have a lot to do.  I'll try to play around with both 2.4/2.5 within the weekend.

Thank you all.
