Hi Guyz!

I am working in CS3 on a image which is 2048X2048px, now when I try to draw a straight line using brush tool while keeping the shift key pressed the scroll bar goes all the way down to the end of the image when the cursor comes near the end  of the screen,is there any way I can stay only in the area in which I am working on and screen does not scrolls all the way down?thanks for the help!

Could you resize your image to fit the screen to make your line?  I often go back & forth between the fit to screen & actual pixel options..

Actually I have to zoom in the image real close and work on different areas,so if I make the image same as screen size still I have to zoom in to certain areas and will end up in same situation,I am surprised that I don't see any way to disable autoscroll any where in preferences.

Might be a lot easier to use the pen tool to make a path and then use the brush stroke option under paths. That way you can adjust it up close and have more control than you would by simply using the brush tool directly.

PhotoShop has a lot of features, and sometimes if you neglect to explore or use them you're just making things harder for yourself.

Hi Paul.

Thanks for the reply, actually this is what I end up doing as I was unable to find any other way to disable the autoscroll.
