I know how to import jpegs in the material room, but how do I get bigger or small size patterns -- sometimes they are way to big for something. Then how would I add save it to keep it in the material room so that i will always have it.

Thank you

On the Image_Map node, adjust U_Scale and V_Scale. To keep the same aspect ratio, the two should be kept the same. I find it handy to use a node for the scale. Create a Math node and plug it into both. Use the number in the math node to be the scale.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Another gem from BB. And an easy to follow and understand one too.

Good heavens -- I hope I can do it -- I am a hands on person, if someone was next to me  and i watched them do it -- I'd pick it right up -- But reading the directions and doing it at the same time  -- I am like a monkey.

Thank you for the info --- I will give it a good try when I ahve the time to sit down here over the next few days

I find it easier to kill a few trees. Print this thread, and have it in your hand when you try it. Don't try split screen or tabbing back and fourth if you are a distracted learner. Many hands on people I have worked with like to keep anything except the task at hand as simple as possible and have the key strokes and flow go just like when they try it "by them selfs" later.

If you're going to print something, you might as well do the whole manual ;)
