Subject: Python help...

Honestly, I don't even know if what I am thinking is even possible, but at this point it's becoming a nuissance... and I have to ask if any one knows...

Anyway, the problem I am having isn't the script itself, it's the Python Scripts window.

When I chose >Window >Python Scripts it's opens just fine, with the headings 'Prop Samples', 'Geom Mods', Utility Funcs', etc...  What I am then doing is chosing the first available slot to add a new Script to that list.  In this case it's Shader Spider's Save_Mat.

Problem I am having is that everytime I close and reopen Poser, and chose >Window >Python Scripts, the Save_Mat script has to be re-entered.  It's not really a big deal, but it would be really nice if I could set Save_Mat in the Python Scripts window and have it remain everytime I open Poser, and then open the Scripts window.

I tried adding it, and then saving my preferences to 'Prefered State' but it just doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks so much in advance!

Look in Poser *:Runtime:Python:poserScripts for mainButtons.py

With Poser closed make a back up copy. Open the original in Notepad and edit the paths and button titles to what you require. Save, restart Poser and test.

Hope that helps.

Oh man, you guys totally rock!  This has been driving me mad for what seems like an eternity.  I am not a big Python user, but started using Shader Spider in about September-ish, and NOW it finally works the way I wanted...

Thank you so much for taking the time to post a solution!
