This is primarily a low resolution Poser/DAZ Studio chess set designed to be used as background filler. It's sufficiently detailed for moderate close-ups as you can see.

Freshly uploaded to Renderosity FreeStuff here: Low-Res Traditional Chess Set

I'd love to know what people think of the end result. ( Link back to original WIP thread)

And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.

*also available in ShareCG, DAZ, and HiveWire3D flavours (the DeviantArt and CGBytes flavour have been discontinued).

Since I'm claiming it's low-res, I'd better specify exactly how low! The 'FullSetOnBoard' Poser prop (pp2) file has 12,587 faces (or 7,263 if you close the drawers and delete the empty trays). The 'FullSetInTrays' pp2 has 4,525 faces. The face counts for individual objects are as follows:

Pieces: King=206, Queen=258, Bishop=308, Knight=244, Rook=210, Pawn=186

Main box=201, Drawer=55, Empty tray=2662, Full tray=2107

Empty tray sections: King=169, Queen=199, Bishop=222, Knight=190, Rook=147, Pawn=147
Full tray sections: King=131, Queen=138, Bishop=178, Knight=149, Rook=128, Pawn=116

As well as a Poser (PZ3) and DAZ|Studio (DAZ) scene file for the main promo image, there are three Poser prop (PP2) files for a complete set.

There are also seperate Poser prop files for each individual element. Of course, if you use these you'll have to parent things yourself, and set the colour of each black piece individually.
