actually in making models for poser, very little has actually changed since poser 4/5*.* it's only recently we've had the new rigging type (namely poserpro 2010 and poser 8...) *

Airport security is a burden we must all shoulder. Do your part, and please grope yourself in advance.

Actually you can't create a character from scratch with poser. You'll need an actual modeling app for that. What you can do is work with existing content for poser to get close to what you want.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.

If you can't eat it or play with it,

just pee on it and walk away. :-)

???????????? ... Huh?

**Robox is a real poseable figure. 😄
**

**However, if you want a realistic human figure for Poser, you will need a good modeling application ........... and alot of talent.

Quinlor has a tutorial out there from 'soup to nuts' creation of a character in Wings 3d (or used to, the way URLs are these days...;) Contains n*dity, so you'll need to search on his(her?) name. Starts with a basic figure, covers UVMapping, Rigging, etc.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

anahl nathrak uth vas betude doth yel dyenvey..;)

seems box modeling is used a lot in creating characters

you already have boxes geep : )

just place them strategically and then run subsurface on them in blender (free!)  see what you come up with

you know several for the chest, several for the face, connected, for where you want the detail

go that way really fast.
if something gets in your way

Looking at your character, the hard part wont be poser (though it may be harder then you expect) but actually getting your 3D character to match the look of your 2D sketch properly. Do you actually need a full 3D character though ? Like will your game camera be rotating around your character in full 3D, or is he just gonna be shown side-on like in the skecth ? Cause if it's the latter, you could get away with just pasting the sketch/drawing on a flat 2D polygon and animating as needed.

for OP's char. (img posted in other thread), if animation desired, recommend 2d/3d editing/anim. app., e.g. APS.

Yeah. I want a 3D main character at least. For turning, flipping and so on. Also it makes my limited drawing capabilities alot easier :)  I just DLed Wings 3D. Im looking for tutorials as we speak.
