Wonderful challenge topic!  This month should be a bit more laid back than last ... maybe I can actually take a few pictures!  :)  I'm looking forward to this!

Hi dear Carin,

An exiting theme for this month!
"around the clock with circles", hehehe!

Well Jordi, you really started with a very stunning one.
Looks like a painting to me.

Here is my 3.

All captured today at work.

First one. This spider build his spider web in a manhole of which the lid has been removed or stolen a long time ago. The manhole is situated just outside the gate of our lapa along side Qaugga road. The spider has some wonderful colors. I see many circles in his spider web. Just as important as lighting is in photography it is important it  to see and find shapes and forms which our eyes can see. Trust everyone will enjoy my circles.

kgb224 posted Sat, 02 April 2011 at 11:16 AM

Number two is a handle of a valve at our cooling towers.

I trust i am still on track regarding the challenge of circles.

kgb224 posted Sat, 02 April 2011 at 11:19 AM

Number 3 is some type of valve that was in service at our CW House. The yellow part of this valve has a circle and one can also see many holes where i assume bolts could be put through. So many smaller circles as well. As a bonus every one can see in this picture our dam as well as a Sacred Ibis and an Egyptian Goose. Also did some selective coloring in this picture. Trust every Renderosity member will enjoy this 3 captures.

I discovered the spider and its web only yesterday.

With the new challenge regarding circles what better example of circles do one need then in spider webs. So I decided I would visit and photograph the spider and its web today. I took quite a few pictures of the spider and its web. Was quite difficult to decide which one to upload for the challenge.

I'm cleaning out the attic... I found these two small tambours that my mother used to embroider... I thought them were suitable for my third and final image of this challenge! My mother would be happy to know that I have preserved its tambours and I'm putting them on display... I was her torment because I never learned how to embroider!

dochtersions posted Thu, 14 April 2011 at 7:38 AM

I'm very impressed with your upload, dear Maria C.

Also about the story behind.

This tambours are antique, I guess, and so very special to me.

A great contribution, this third one of you, my friend.

Lordy, lordy, where has this month gone!!!  I checked the forum and it said "circles" and there was one submission (and a very good one I must add) and I just checked again (not saying I forgot, life just keeps getting in my way of fun)

In the six pages there are too many good ones to mention, y'all rock!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...

So where do they go when a photograph leaves you speechless?

LovelyPoetess posted Mon, 25 April 2011 at 6:00 PM

I've not got out much with the camera this month, so I culled a few from the past...
