Subject: Is there a quick way to get hands to grasp? David 3

For the parameters on David 3's left hand, there are dials: Grasp, Thumb Grasp and Spread but the area to input a value is grayed out. Why is that?

However, if I can't have that available, is there an easier way to make the hand grasp than having to go through every finger and every section of every finger and bend them to a grasp?

Just spin the grasp dial , and it should grasp. None of the figure grasp dials seems to have a numerical input.

You might check the hand poses in the hand library. They may get you close for a specific type of hold.

Well... what do you know. The dials work. Thanks markschum!

I usually use the Grasp dial to get somewhere near, then adjust each finger after.  Using the Grasp dial on its own often gives an unsatisfactory result, IMO.

Something for the next generation of figures? Add spinner dials for each finger as well as a group dial

yup, what Sam said. You do need to tweak the fingers if you can see them .

I never understood why the grasp dials dont have a numeric panel.
