Subject: Problem with Page Jumping

Yeah, strange subject, lol. It's the only way I can explain what's happening. When I load a new page at Renderosity, the page seems to jump from side to side. It settles down, but it's annoying, lol.

It doesn't happen at any other site, just here at Renderosity and it's all pages and sections. So it's not a problem with my monitor or graphics card.

Is it just me or has anyone else had this issue?

I'm using XP sp2 IE7.

thanks for looking :)

Odessey posted Fri, 22 April 2011 at 11:40 AM

Same problem  here page hiccups from side to side when loading  on all pages, and yes it is very annoying .....

Windows 7

IE 7

Cimaira posted Fri, 22 April 2011 at 11:58 AM

Well, I'm sorry to hear you're having the same problem, but glad to know it's not just me, lol.

I've gone through checking all my connections and troubleshooting as best I can on my end and everything seems OK, so I'm guessing it's something they've added to the pages causing the jumping. I sure hope it gets fixed soon.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm also getting ''waiting for qksz.net" (?),lately, while the current page pauses for ten seconds or so before it finally moves on.

AnnieD posted Fri, 22 April 2011 at 6:50 PM

Same problem here...using Win 7, IE 9

I'm getting this now too, started a couple of days ago, I put it down to IE9 because it's the worst browser microsoft came out with IMO.

But it can't be as others are using IE7..

Same here using IE8... Looks like it's IE and not version specific.

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

StaceyG posted Sat, 23 April 2011 at 1:54 PM

Has anybody noticed it using any other browser aside from IE?  I use Chrome and it's not happening for me but just wondering if any issues on any other browsers

msg24_7 posted Sun, 24 April 2011 at 2:56 AM

I did not notice any jumping using Chrome or Firefox.

Do any members know what qksz.net is?

It's an alias for Commission Junction, so it's either something to do with one of the ads or possibly even Rendo's own affiliate program.

I'm checking on this for you all.

Odessey posted Mon, 09 May 2011 at 12:32 PM

I am sure there are many  others with the same issues, some people have fear of forums and speaking out  ! Just not a major priority as of now i guess .

thefixer posted Mon, 09 May 2011 at 12:36 PM

It's actually getting worse IMO..

I'm still getting the page jumping too. I guess the techs are still tied up on that big project.

Anniebel posted Thu, 19 May 2011 at 8:07 AM

I use IE on Mondays when I am at Mum & Dad's & I have noticed the page jumping very badly as well, probably due to those horrible intrusive ads at the top of the page, as that is when it seemed to start. Thankfully I can block them at home in FF.

Waiting for 'searchmarketing'

Waiting for 'ad.doubleclick.net'

Waiting for "qksz.net"

Waiting for ''googleanalytics.com"

Easiest solution is to use NoScript to stop those sites/scripts loading. Other methods (e.g. adblockers or host file entries) are also applicable.

I am still seeing the page jump. Any idea about a fix?

StaceyG posted Sat, 28 May 2011 at 12:54 PM

I'll ask again, we've had some other things that the programmers have had to focus on recently but this is on the list to take a look at and resolve.

Sorry for the delay

Cimaira posted Sat, 28 May 2011 at 1:36 PM

Thanks Stacy,

No problem, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one still having problems.

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone :)

the page is still jumping - just saying

StaceyG posted Thu, 30 June 2011 at 9:36 AM

Yes we do have this on the list to look at but there are some things the techs are working on that they have to complete first.

I will check with them today to get more of a timeframe of when this will come up on their list.

Thank you

As it says, this issue has got worse again, getting to the point where I might just not bother coming here anymore. It's a good job I don't suffer from epilepsy, it could easily set it off....

Weeks this has been going on with it getting worse not better...
