Does anyone know the way to make Roadkill produce a perfectly symmetrical map of your perfectly symmetrical obj?
please note this head was flattened out nicely by Roadkill, which is the goal, but for some reason , i do not get a perfectly balanced map L to R ...red arrows point out some of the obvious lopsidedness. I cannot find any way to manipulate the UvS to get it perfectly symmetrical.
Thanks
S

This is one of the best tutorials for Roadkill that I've ever seen. The author shows just exactly how to straighten out those maps ;). Good luck! Lauriesanticor posted Thu, 28 April 2011 at 8:21 PM
The vid author made me realize the correct way to use pinning ....so I pinned down abunch of the outer UVs of the shell and stretched some of the unpinned outer edge around - repeat as necesssary until balance is reached ......
this is still not 100% perfect balanced shape- I could have gone for 15 more mins and achieved absolute perfection of the shape of the outer edge... but the inner part of the shell with the facial features is PERFECTLY balanced ...and that is what I needed.

UVDan - sorry !
we will never build the traffic there until we all start going -
so I will see you there next time !
I am going to have questions about the UV relationships that are created when you weld a separate head obj to a body obj , which have both been already separately UV mapped . . . more on that some other time.
