I've been wondering if with Poser and some programming virtual reality is possible.
I've tried it but i don't feel ilke i'm inside the world.
I've tried creating an envrionment in poser, and covering my face with a towel , leaving only an opening for the eyes. and covering my peripheral view. so i feel more like i'm inside. but it doesn't work
then i use a scripting programming language. But since i use Premade video clips for navigating the world.. it's always the same and i don't have choices, so it doesn't feel real.
What is the best and easiest way to make virtual worlds using Poser?
AND NO I don't mean with VRML

No, Poser isn't designed for that, at least not with the High Poly figures now in popular use. Max can do that, but Max figures are much lower Poly than even Posette, but rely on other tools besides just morphs to create natural body movement.

There is a nice listing of some of what was used to create Avatar in this article

You are never going to be able to make a "virtual reality" with poser, you might be able to script together some rendered videos, but it wont be anything truly interactive....
In fact you will never find a "virtual world" that works in realtime with poser quality comparable visuals (well unless you can fund a air craft hanger sized render farm :D)
If you want an interactive virtual world your best bet would be PC gaming, there are plenty of "sandbox" games and MMO's that offer 3D worlds... and if you mix that with Nvidia's 3D setup (you will need nvidias 3D box and glasses, nvidia GFX card and a 3D compatible monitor) you will get a really nice experiance !

oracle sez:
Cannot Predict Now
My Sources Say No
It Is Certain
Outlook Good
It Is Decidedly So
hence I'm unsure. it seems to be contradicting itself.
