I finally got Bryce 7.1 Pro and I'm now going to break it. If I turn on all the new fancy lights that's gotta do it. Right?
How about a lot of glass and clouds, lit by a sky dome, with soft shadows?
See you in a week.

punch every button in IBL, max out anisthopy, make the mat fuzzy with 50 percent transparency,
yep that should do it.
call the fire department.

Managed to get it to not respond. Not sure what I did though.
I like the dome lights so far. I like the fact they have their own soft shadow option without having to render at a premium level.

So if it says 14:15:53:23 that's quite a long render time?
drawbridgep posted Sat, 14 May 2011 at 11:31 AM
Wow, i've never heard my computer fan make THAT noise before.
clay posted Sat, 14 May 2011 at 11:56 AM

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

I'm going on vacation, so maybe it'll be done when I get back.
clay posted Sat, 14 May 2011 at 12:03 PM
I had a render that a client had running on 4 computers that took so long that he went on vacation twice and when he got back the second time it was at 90% LMAO!!!! Although it was a lengthy animation. Also if you want to break BR7 just try loading in an image to use as a material:-P

I better hurry up and get a little render farm going to help out :)

I didn't have to do much to break mine. All I did was create a sphere over water first time I used it and it crashed. Haven't bothered with it since.

Call the fire brigade and the bomb squad !! ;-p. Ah ..goes without saying..the morgue and the funeral parlor. 10 gun salutes, maybe.
Sorry...only way I can answer to your post, phil.
Sending fwds is a bit of a pain on a smartphone. But when I get the really good ones, will surely share them no matter what! : )

Clay, I just created a sphere. In fact it wasn't even a water plain just the default scene.
