Is there any way to improve the resolution of Poser AVI movies so they are less jagged at full screen, even with aliasing?

When you say 'full screen' do you mean that you are viewing the movie zoomed in to fill your computer monitor? In order to fix this you would need render your AVI at the same resolution or pixel dimensions of your monitor. If your are using a screen resolution around 1280 x 960 you will end up with a with a very large AVI file that plays at a very choppy rate.

When you create your avi what codec do you choose. Different ones at different compression ratios will make your animation lookc jagged or choppy. Your best bet is to render uncompressed avi then convert it to a format like windows streaming media asf or convert to a mpeg4 avi codec. I tend to render uncompressed animations at 640x480 then import into Premiere for post.

Thanks for all the help on this. It's just my ignorance. Having now experimented with background resolution, FPS, and screen res., I've begun to understand the key variables. Very complicated for a neophyte, but I'm getting there. Again, thanks
