Hi,
How can I set up an Ambient Map for use in DAZ Studio? I know that might be the key to get Alfa-Seed (formerly Aery Soul)'s White Rose to render as expected. Can anyone give me some ideas on where to go? because frankly, the man who had Aery Soul DAZ Studio shaders for the Aery Soul had taken them down from his website.
Elton.

Go to your surfaces tab, find which part you want to add it too in the list. From there, click and the listing of diffuse, ambient, spec, ext. will be below-but in the advanced tab. You click the arrow to the right I believe to get a pop up menu. Go to "Browse" and find the map you want to use in Ambient and the settings on how much to use will be the dial below it. Render and see how it looks and go from there!

It didn't work, so I'm making my own. The color Alfa-Seed created isn't right, nor am I getting the right glow. I tried the bump map, and they don't work either. * shrug* so I'm making maps out of the Green Color Channel.

You will need a gray scale image applied to the Ambient Strength and set to 100%. The different gray levels will influence the strength, Black no ambient, white the full % value ambient is set to.
