**Hello all and if your in the States hope your Memorial Day weekend was a good one. Listen Im not even sure what is the best way to ask this question, but here goes. Attached you will see one of two Pin-up's Ive just completed in Poser8 and now Im ready for a little post work magic useing Photoshop 8. My problem is that the woman looks as if she is floating a bit abover the couch and not sitting directly on it. Can any of you suggest the best tool in Photoshop to use so that I can make the woman and her clothing look more like they are directly on the couch *and not suspended slightly above it*??? Thanks much Steel**

I don't think, there is much you can do in Photoshop.

It does not look like the figure is floating above the couch, the figure is floating above the couch.
The moment you look at the image, you notice the angles from feet to knees and from hand to elbow.
Both should form a straight line, parallel to the couch.

My suggestion would be to go back to Poser, lower the figure until knee and elbow touch the couch,
adjust bend on the forearm until the hand is on the couch, use thigh or buttock twist to
get the foot to touch the couch.

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.

one other way would be to treat the woman and couch separately. then place each on their own layer in Photoshop. you can then lower her "into" the surface of the couch (as anything in the real-world bearing any amount of weight would do...) you can use various tols to distort the surface of the couch to make folds and indentations around her...

it's always easier if you can freely move elements around to develop a perceived reality.
