Hi I never use the poser material room because I never render in poser itself.
however for pre-visualization purposes I was wondering is it is possible to make a GLOBAL change to hundreds of imported props in a scene that ALL have the same default mat
they are ALL separate objects And I was curious if I
can change the color globally without selecting each one in the Mat room IM still on P6 OSX BTW
Cheers

VSS could probaply do it. You'd need to learn how VSS but it's fairly simple. Is the default map name exclusive to all the props? If so, VSS could handle it in few easy steps...

Thanks and yes the default name is simply"concrete"
on over one hundred individual pieces..
I will look into VSS
Cheers

Ok. Just post here if you have any questions. Much of the vss discussion is centered around skin enhancement. You need to skip all that and focus on how to use the designer...

Using VSS designer:
Choose a prop to be your control prop - the source of the rules for applying shaders. I use a ball - but it can be anything.
Using VSS, Designer buttons, add a material zone called Apply Rules.
In Apply Rules add a Rule node with the name *. Now this control prop applies to all objects in the scene.
Add a material zone called Shader Rules to the control prop.
Add a material zone called Concrete.
In Shader Rules material, add a Rule for the name concrete. Add a Copy node for Concrete. Connect the Rule Concrete to the Copy Concrete. This says that for all target materials called concrete, you wish to copy the shader in the control prop's Concrete material.
Now edit the control prop Concrete, and hit the VSS button Synchronize. It should apply your shader to all concrete materials of all props.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
