Throughout my various interactions with my V/M 3 and 4 models, I have come across the need to relate files to models when I load them ocasionally. This is most common with V4, where I often have to locate her body geometry when loading her. I believe this to be an issue with having both 3 and 4 installed at the same time.

 

Regardless of why it happens, would any of you happen to know how to permanently associate a given file with a model? Is it through the Poser interface somehow, or keep the files ina certain directory?

Look in Edit > General Preferences > Library > File Search and check that "Deep" is selected.

Agree with PhilC.  Make the change and you shouldn't see anymore problems.  All my base models reside in the same runtime and I haven't had any such confusion issues.
