Its a shame that they havent got a pdf version of it, 35£ is expensive for a book to start with, but then with another 15£ for shipping the price becomes ridiculous for a book!

I have all his training vids already.  So don't need the book.  $49 for a lot of pics with not much text per page.  He has another book coming out also about fractals.  Probably $49, too.  I'd buy both books for $19 as PDF.  But E-on is the seller/producer.  So no discount anytime soon.  I wish he went to Focal Press to do the book, but they are not into printing coffee table books.

Rich - if you order from Amazon.com as I did, the total cost including shipping to UK works out less than the £37 + Shipping + VAT from eon.  My total purchase price was :

Item(s) Subtotal:

 GBP 31.63
Shipping & Handling: GBP 5.06
Total Before Tax: GBP 36.69
Estimated Tax To Be Collected: GBP 0.00
Grand Total: GBP 36.69

I ordered it the day it was announced, via e-on on a rebate (which made it about the same price as the amazon route, regarding shipping) and got it within a few days from the continental e-on store (it came from France, live in the Netherlands).

Book is fine, different from any kind of manual and more sophisticated than the GeekAtPlay one. Since it's definitely not in PDF, I can do/think Vue while being away from my computer. Great.

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.

visit www.aRtBeeWeb.nl (works) or Missing Manuals (tutorials & reviews) - both need an update though

Well, mine arrived a couple of weeks ago.  Read it cover to cover first before using it alongside Vue so I wasn't tempted to just use it for the odd thing or two ;-)

Amazon is sold out...

I bought the book on Amazon and I think it's really informative, definitely an inspiration to strive for realstic renders. Highly recommended, a little expensive but I think it's worth it.
