I'm trying to use 2 PC (win7/64) one of them is supposed to be a rendercow working for the other.

The PC are connected to the internet via a wifi router and the signal is extremely poor and slow. I can't use hard cabled ethernet connection due to "architectural" (spousal) considerations. The cow is updating for hours.

Is there a way to directly connect the 2 PC with an ethernet cable and make it coexist with the internet wifi connection ?

I'm totally lost here. Thanks for any help
