After several weeks of travail and forum surfing, the needed method for importing some of my excessive content into B7 boils down to this. You need Poser to open the stuff with. Then you save the file as a Poser document. Open Daz Studio, import the Poser document and send it to B7. For reasons unknown to me at least there seems to be a problem with either Poser not wanting to handle the obj portion of the file or Daz not wanting to import it and also Bryce needs to be shut down for the import function to work! I do not profess to be a software person and it seems to have taken many attempts to get it to work. I am just fortunate in having purchased P7 a couple of years ago when it was on sale.
I have given up on doing content searches with DS as it searches like a vacuum cleaner and grabs everything rather than just usable content requiring only minimalist installation of content to it or it finds the folder but not the content. Bit frustrating as navigating to a folder and having it show as being empty when you know good and well the file you need is in there doesn't show or it lists multiple copies of an empty folder and refuses to allow deletion of the listings on the tree. So other than a conduit for content to Bryce it serves little purpose for me.
Perhaps in some distant future Bryce will be able to import all content without such a convoluted path.
Cheers
