Their new character set for Daz Studio 4. One figure that can be morphed into all sorts of sizes and shapes. Adults, children, monsters, animals. Works only in Daz at this point. After reading about DS4 on Daz's forums, I was so underimpressed, I have it downloaded, but haven't installed it yet. I'm still learning Poser, don't need more work.

It's not a teaser. the genesis figure is the new one included in Daz Studio 4.
Although it says that they are not asking us to change software, basically they are saying "try out Daz Studio 4 and the genesis figure while they are still free, then when Poser, Carrara etc are updated to accept the new figure, you will already have experience using it"
In other words "try our software, you might like it so much that you keep using it!" ;)

Genisis isn't bad. It's neat morph from child to adult, male to female, etc. I just can't stand DS. If I could use it in Poser, maybeit might catch on better. So far I don't see much content availble for it either. When V4 had been out this long she had a whole wardrobe, fully jewelry box, and enough morphs and textures to rivel any 80's spy kit.

As Exodus© is a brand new figure, and at the moment in an advanced beta version, there is not much support for the figure yet, but I expect that to change with the first stable release. In the meantime I have included an image of some accessories that are in the pipeline.
Its also worth pointing out that Exodus© uses a new technology called HardGrafting to add things like ears, wings, tails, and naughty bits. This goes far beyond simple conforming, and makes conforming very complicated.

Pictured above is the base Alpha element, which is invisible to the naked eye. Alpha can morph into any figure, compatible with any program, on any system, AT ANY TIME.
This means that even before an artist begins working with Alpha, to make a figure or scene, it is already complete. It also means that you've purchased it before you decide to purchase it. So send me the money.

Or it could mean that DAZ is being very, very, very optimistic, possibly foolishly so. I still think they rolled the figure out at the wrong time, and without first learning if Poser would have the capacity to use it.

What is unique and specail about height mapping is Exodus can use the free texture sets right out of Google Earth. I have another render cooking right now where I used a Google Earth image of downtown Paris, France as the texture. In the preview window using that Google Earth image, Les' Exodus character looked way better then Paris Hilton in real life. Can't wait to try two textures from Google Earth and blending Allen, Texas with Alda, Nebraska and see the results.

Quote - I'm really sad. I posted a render I did with exodus on a CG site, and they told me it wasn't art. I bet if I hadn't mentioned I had done it in poser they would have liked it.
Stick figure comics really seem to be catching on. I think Exodus would be ideal for that use, but I CAN'T GET A COPY!! >sob<
Anyway, make the art snobs jealous by making a super-keen, boffo socko stick figure comic and gaining a wider audience than they have.

Eep! :scared: Oh man, use a language warning before posting something like this. Foul mouth! For shame!

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Yes, I am working on a comic that should knock their snobbish socks off. I'll show them just what poser is capable of. Exodus will be the ideal slenderman character in the story. I just need to rescale him a bit.
Sorry you haven't got your exodus copy yet.
Love esther
PS renderosity admin have demanded I either redo all my thumbnails or they will remove my exodus pics from the gallery. I'm really peaved as I love my thumbnails and took a long time to make them. Is it my fault there isn't much content in the MP to cover up the exodus naughty bits?
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

If Exodus works with the new ASCIIRender© plugin then I definately need me a copy.
The New HD Toaster from Wamco toasts bread more evenly and acurately than Standard Toasters. Take advantage of the FULL resolution of your bread and try one today, because if your toast isn't in High Definition, you are not getting the most of your toast!

Ooh! I heard that ASCIIRender© is not only the world's first purely biased renderer, it's actually downright bigoted, and occasionally racist.
Keith posted Fri, 29 July 2011 at 10:34 AM
That is completely unfair. ASCIIRender© is not racist. Well, okay, it starts every render with the message "I'm not racist, but..." and it does refuse to accept Collada files "because the name sounds like some furrin' one", and the sound file it plays while you're waiting for a render is the Horst-Wessel-Lied...
...okay, it's a racist renderer.

The readme says Exodus would only work at Studio's that paid union wages, like Disney Studios.

This is great news for users of DIZ|Studio, as they seem to be tiring of using Micky4 and Minnie4.
