I remember reading a post by bagginsbill that explained how to have lights in the scene that light the scene in the preview but didn't light for renders. I thought I bookmarked it but parently I didn't. I did a search for it and came up with over 700 hits. I didn't find it in the ones I looks at. Does anyone know how to do this or can you direct me to the page the instructions are on, please?

Do you remember about how long ago this thread was created?

If you can provide me with an "older than" and "newer than" timeline, I might be able to help you find it.

Go into the light's material. Set Diffuse_Color and Specular_Color to black.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
