I have seen many beautiful 3D fractals in the Vue galleries. I have a Mac Pro, and have tried to find a program that converts fractal images into 3D models for the Mac, but to my dismay have not found one yet. Does anyone know of a program that is out there? (hopefully free)

Not sure if you could call it's output fractal or not, but Groboto is an addictive and fun program for generating what I would call mechanical fractals. It generates some crazy high-quality meshes that look great in Vue and IIRC, it's pretty cheap and/or there may be a free version.
