Hmmm, the one in the picture you included doesn't look like a beanie to me. It looks more like a stocking cap. A beanie is a around cap that sits ont the top of the head (anyone remember Beanie and Cecil? or am I dating myself?). There's a beanie that comes with the cartoon kids from DAZ. They might still be available for free. Sometimes a beanie had a little copter thingy on top. Maybe I am showing my age. Could a beanie be something different now from what I remember as a kid? Melanie, whose bones are beginning to creak.

No Melanie, it's not just you. And the real nerds had little propellers on the tops of their beanies.
PrezPerkz posted Sun, 29 April 2001 at 8:49 AM
Anyway can someone link me to that DAZ place? Thanx for all your help Perks

There is a link to DAZ on the sidebar of this page.
The free stuff here includes Byterunners Morphable Wizard Hat, which looks a lot like a stocking cap. You might be able to work with it to create what you want.

P.S. For those of you that do not know what a beanie is I have supplied an image of eminem wearing one In the photograph the top of the "beanie" is hidden by the word "EMINEM". According to my dictionary a beanie is a hat with a propeller on. Is that the intended meaning here?
PrezPerkz posted Sun, 29 April 2001 at 12:55 PM
No, i do not want a geeky hat with a pom pom on. Its got a rounded top. I am happy with all these responses although only one has helped me ;) If anyone can direct me to this hat it would be sweet but if not i will have to use this bell hat that maclean made. Thanx, Perks

PS: Sorry for the bad image, I did it in a hurry. :) Melanie

WOWWZA, Now that is totally the opposite of what i want :( All it is, is like a cap without a peak, basically. But it has lil folds at the bottom. Ohh well looks like no-one can help me, but thanx wizzard, Looks like macleans cloche hat is my nearest thing :) Perks
hauksdottir posted Sun, 29 April 2001 at 4:27 PM
Perks, Melanie's hat image IS of a proper beanie. Enimem is not wearing a beanie. Beanies do not have brims or folds. They do not stretch down over the face. Maclean probably has the best hat collection out there. If you want a hat like your photo, you should search under santa hat, stocking cap, etc.. PoserWorld had some winter clothes with hats like what you appear to need, but that site has been in upheval. Tygerlander has textures for hats and coats on her site, and I think there was a loose stocking cap like Enimem's there, and JohnW may have been the modeler, but I don't have time to go check. Search Tygerlander and you should get the right links. Carolly

I don't know why....but it wouldn't work for me either? Any way try this one and if it doesn't work, go to: http://www.3dcommune.com and then click on "FreeStuff" in the right hand side of the screen, and then "PoserFreeStuff" and then search.......and type in the word "beanie".....That should do it. (: GennyPrezPerkz posted Sun, 29 April 2001 at 7:08 PM
