I have a poser project (V4) I have been adjusting and making alterations on for a long time. There are lots of different morphs on her, and I've ran into a problem.. It has happened before, and I just bit the bullet and started from scratch, putting in the same values as I had etc...
Problem is that I am loading morphs, NBM in this case, and they don't show up. They do show up if I load the figure fresh however. Does anyone know what's causing this, and if there's any way to fix it without having to start over?
Thanks!

the channels aren't in your older model.
saving a pose asks if you want to save the morphs.

They are both the same version of the model , V4.2, but one is in a project file that's been around for a while, with other morphs loaded and unloaded. That's the only difference.
MistyLaraCarrara posted Thu, 11 August 2011 at 8:43 AM
as i understand it, the updater thingee that runs after you install a new morph pack, only updates the V4.2 in the Daz People folder. if you have any other V4's saved in your runtime, they won't be updated.
edit: if you have a utility like Injection magic, you could save your project as a character injection file, make it easier to update a fresh V4

Oh really, I didn't know they made actual updates to the V4 model? That would explain a few things, and I'll just have to restart the project, saving the old morph values. Oh well. :)

y'know, i wonder if it's possible to manually edit the updater file to point to a different V4. worth a lil investigating.

I'm not clear on this sort of thing (anything not rendering or lighting and I'm a noob) but...
Suppose you open that broken scene. The dials have the values you want, but are not working, right?
Load a new V4. Inject all the morphs you used (or all the morphs).
Select the old figure, click the parameters window (not sure if that is required but just do it) and do Edit/Copy or Ctrl-C (Cmd-C on Mac).
Selected the new figure. Do Edit/Paste or Ctrl-V (Cmd-V).
I'm guessing this might transfer the settings.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

I will definitely try that, thanks both of you for the insights and tips.

If you got the morphs from Daz3d, then yes, you need to run the updater and the new morphs will only show up for new figures you create.
If you don't want to start over though, you can load a new figure with the NBM, dial the desired values, export the geometry as a morph target, load the character you've been working on, and load that geometry as a new morph.
