There's a cool series of books that have moving pages when the page is turned. [ http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=scanimation](http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=scanimation)

When I looked up how it's done, I found this site that links to free software that will let anybody create their own animations. Since Poser can be used to create animations, I thought it would be a nice link here. The illusion is created by superimposing multiple frames of an action onto a single image using vertical bars to compose the images and then moving a transparency, with vertical bars that limit what portions of the image are seen. Images are seen when through the clear portions of the transparency. Movement of the transparency shows each frame of the image that has been printed. This creates the illusion of motion on an otherwise single paper.

Silhouettes work best and frame lengths should be less than 10.

I'm not sure what the best Poser settings would be to create a silhouette.

Saving the image as a TIFF or PNG will save a mask that can be opened as a selection. The selection can quickly be painted black since no paint will go outside of the selection.
