Here is the image right out of the camera for the "do it to it" challenge for the week of August 22, 2011.

Looks like a real fun challenge Mark...will be back in the next day or so to add a version.

Oh gosh, Mark ... what a beautiful photograph!  The light is superb.  I'll save it right now and get busy!  :)

I've just posted my wolf from Tara's week, with links to that week and this one. (And the links both worked! AH HA!)

Looks great in your gallery, Lu!  :)

Immagine interessante in grado di offrire buone idee !

E a quanto pare , Lucinda ha preso la palla al balzo ! Ottimo lavoro !

Interesting picture can offer good ideas!

And apparently, Lucinda took the ball! Great job!

dragonmuse ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 6:14 AM

How do you upload images here?

I don't want to put my image into my gallery, just want to add it here.

Lu...really like what you've done to open up the narrow hallway, add light and give us a cubist feel.

Here's my first whack at your beautiful image Mark...turning it toward an abstract. Thanks to the original lighting, this was relatively easy.

I cropped the image and I added a fractal made with apophysis  like the window decoration! I also darkened a bit the setting for to emphasize the design on the window. I hope you like it!

A good week to you all!  :-)

Bella elaborazione e molto indovinato il disegno che non toglie la luce in ingresso !

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 4:47 PM

Wow! Wonderful additions! Thanks for all the nice words. :)

Sandy, be sure your image isn't more than 300 KB. I had some that wouldn't load when I first started and that was the reason.  Let us know if you still have problems.  I look forward to seeing your version!

Bill, Terrific shapes that look cool against the black.  I like that the little desk is a black shape and ties in with the background.

Tara, Yours has such a silky luster to it.  I like that you have taken objects that distract from that and cropped away the darker wall.  Love the way the floor looks!

Mark, Wonderful and crazy!  Love the tilt and mad rush of birds.  Excellent depth and sizes to give a feel of a huge swarm of birds.

Mario, I know you are looking at some marvelous shots!  Wonderful addition of you coming in after a day of amazing captures.

Maria, beautiful fractal.  I'd love to have a window like that.  I like that you cropped it and there are only sepia tones other than the beautiful fractal.

dragonmuse ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 7:34 PM

Had a little fun with this.

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 7:42 PM

Hi Sandy, Keep trying if your picture doesn't come up.  I also found that it didn't like there to be apostropes in the name of the picture.

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 8:40 PM

Sandy, I'm pretty sure the picture needs to be 600px × 800px or less, 300 or less KB and no apostropes.  If that doesn't work, send PJ (MrsLubner) or Tara (auntietk) a sitemail and they may know what the problem is.

I hope you get it sorted out.  I look forward to seeing your image!

dragonmuse ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 11:39 PM

Trying again.

And it failed again.

The file is 600x600, 410 kb, no apostrophes.

I clicked the Browse button below and found the file... It just doesn't load.

And trying again, reduced some more.

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 11:42 PM

It has to be less than 300 kb.

myrrhluz ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 11:45 PM

Wow! You got it and it is fantastic!  I'm sitting here figuring out how each part has been situated.  I'm going to go back and look at it some more, but wanted to say first...Absolutely gorgeous! I love it!

dragonmuse ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 11:47 PM

What a wonderful bunch of manipulations.

Love the creativity.

auntietk ( ) posted Mon, 22 August 2011 at 11:48 PM

The file has to be 200kb or less.  That's your problem.  Please try again ... we'd love to see your DITI!  :)

Quartered and halved diagonally and turned upside down.  You did a lot of different things ot make this cool image! You even used the dark shape in the corner effectively.  Very well done!

Very cool, Tara!  I like the progression of lighted shapes on the floor that draw my eyes to the light at the end!

(I didn't realize that images were supposed to be less than 200KB.  I worked mine down to where the worked which was less than 300KB.  I'll keep them less than 200KB in future. :))

Congratulations to you all for the beautiful images! :-)

myrrhluz ( ) posted Tue, 23 August 2011 at 6:24 PM

Nice embossed krinkle effect.  The brightness makes me think or a spotlight or blast, shining into the window.

Beautiful, Maria!  There are a lot of details that have come out in your image, like the light in the top left corner and the detail on the right wall.  The grain works well.  Love the lines and light.

There are so many first rate variations of postwork here...you all knock my socks off:) I'll get to work on my second shot and will be back soon.

Thanks for all your creativity...it is inspiring.
