Anybody have success or failed?I've learned alot through my failures.......
The defualt figure Andy Poser Pro 2010 plays wonderful BVH files =)
That is if I use the handy dandy BVHacker to set up a T-Pose in a already made BVH file to export or import into Poser Pro 2010.
http://www.bvhacker.com/index.html
When it comes to making them play on custom made characters or purchased characters for example: Akihiro from the best artist Tempesta3d http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=Tempesta3d
All Hell Broke Loose From Me =(
I ended up adjusting every frame all 631 of them.... actually I adjusted them from every single camera (all 13 of them Main, Aux, Pose, Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, Bottom, Dolly, Face, Left Hand, Right Hand)
631 frames x 13 camera sets = 8203 frames corrected.
I did the old school method as well I recorded myself doing moves and used the avi footage in the background of poser to animate my character. It helps being a martial arts expert =D I know a thing or two about realistic moves.....
Its been about 2 months and I have many more months to come and more then likely years ahead in this awesome world of 3D Animation and Game Design =D

If you use generic BVH files then it is often a hit or miss situation because the naming convention may be different (ie right leg may be rleg, or their may be an extra body part such as torso and chest, where your character may not have, or it may refer to waist instead of hip)
But if you go to sites that create BVH or FBX for Poser/Daz characters then you will have better results
MIXAMO.com you can create your own custom motion files and they use Daz figures and you can also upload your own custom character to create motion files for a cost
es3d.com have good motion files for Poser/Daz figures
SKAmotion.com is another place for Poser/Daz figures
plus these sites have some free motions as well
You might as well PAY attention, because you can't afford FREE speech

yeah, they can be a bit trying. sometimes ya get lucky and it's just the first frame that's mangled, then, after zeroing that, all that's needed is to move the body element up in frame 1 to pull the hip outta the floor.

Anyone have success using Vue alongside with poser?
Vue loves to keep asking me about a
Poser SDK version to choose from.... It gets boring trying to import my posed character/scenes into Vue =(
How different is Poser Pro 2010 from the other versions?
Here is a Dojo Hallway I made with UDK too bad I cant use it with poser =(

it sez "log in to facebook" to see the vids. several of these usrs have experience with vue/poser. back in the old days, poser couldn't render worth a crap, so they wanted to render their scenes in something else, e.g. carrara, lux, vue et al. this may no longer be needed, excepting some geek stuff that is usually faked anyway AFAIK, like caustics and dispersion.
