If any of you sell poser sci-fi merchandise, can you tell me (without divulging financial details) if its worth it for you in this economy? Should I weather the storm and just take it as it comes or should I just hold off because of the poor state of the current market. would something like the mecha below sell well here, or is the fact that renderosity is focused on delivering more pinup content for Poser affect it's sales?

sci-fi is a popular genre for Poser. You have groups like team-dystopia who do all sci-fi stuff. You wont sell anything if its not in a marketplace somewhere for people to buy. That said you probably dont want to price your stuff too low, or you need to many sales to make anything. I dont know anyone making Poser stuff who do it as full time income.
Look at all the marketplaces before you commit. Daz and renderosity or the largest places that I know of, but there are vanishingpoint, poseraddicts and runtimedna stores. yerposer (?) is fairly new but might also be worth a look.

The only thing i can tell you, is, that you will do your work for a return that is less then working on a supermarket cashier. Believe me, you need to do this with passion, not for financial purposes.
