Hi All

Been trying to gather all the needed props to work on a new render.

I need these old fashioned stone cutter tools:

Old fashioned mallet of stone head laced to wood handle

Chisels assortment

Sizing proportion calipers.

These are some of the necessary tools for the scene.

I have to figure out how to prep the stone block from which the figure emerges from but I doubt anyone has one of those around. But on the off chance there is one or one can be made please let me know.

FYI It would have to be rough cut at bottom of block as if sculptor is refing figure from it and below that the smooth stone block.

I did a search here and the only thing that comes close to the mallet & Chisel are a set of Vampire Hunter props (don't remember who by) but I can't figure out how to DL them. I IM the artist and asked for a working DL link or some other way to get the set.

Any hel would be appreciated.

I don't know how to create 3D content or I would have just made my own props so please don't waste your vluable time suggesting it.  ;)

thanks

chisels no probs but the mallet! any chance of a pic cos the masons mallets I am used to are sorta barrel shape on a handle, calipers are no worries IF there the same as an engineers lol or post a pic, same for the block making it isn't a prob knowing what you need is (pencil sketch is worth lots of words )

you need it all in a runtime or are .obj ok (poser sized)

The barrel shaped mason's mallet is cool too.

The chisels you seem to know about.

The calipers need to be the big ones sculptors of old used to proportion the body parts of the sculptures. If it can be posable GREAT. If not perhaps as opb files UVMapped so I can put a distressed steel or brass texture on them i cool. Maybe two or three of them at various open/close positions if static.

As obj files UVMapped so I can use my own textures I can always import them into runtime Props folder for use for later.

I have looked for the stone slab but can-t seem to find it but I think the images I am referring to. Did a quick drawing of it....hope it is clear enough for you.

Also I guess obj is ok for all as long as I can texture them. Tehy would have to be UVMapped for that I guess because I am on a Mac an UVMapper doesn't work for me here.

ok made 3 chisels and the block  all uvmapped (chishels have same uvmap so squish up on the big ones if u want nicks or sratches)

you want the calipers as shown (scaling) or just normal ones?? will get them done in morning (meds are kicking in now lol ) they will be in a runtime so they can be posable

This is closer to the calipers I was thinking about.

As far as the block I was envisioning a block with more chipped away between the base of the uncut block and the body torso and more chips out of it. This one looks a bit too smooth.

What about the mallet?

sorry this has taken so long, sunday is "familyday" and they kill me lol still I get my bypass in 2 weeks so hope to have more energy then ;-)

have changed block hope its ok now and made mallet and callipers everything is uv'd except the rivet in the callipers

have included the right and left sides of the callipers so u can load/parent them together and they should open close ok

ps its just posers granite texture on the block
