When you bought it did you select the right version of Vue for it to work with??

You need to select it in your account if you bought it from C3D.

It will help if we knew what it is and where you bought it from..

One of the items is The Lookout Post at C3d......didnt see an option to select a version of Vue. Beginning to wonder if perhaps i`m a bit overmatched with the software, may need to look for something else.

Is that the tree one??

In your account at your download link there is a tab to edit the download, click on that and make sure you're downloading it for the correct version of Vue.

It might be that or it might not, but it's worth a try..

It may be that your account is saying Vue 9, in which case trying to use it in 8 won't work..

Ah didnt know that, so in the edit of the purchase it only lists Vue9s. I assume it doesnt then work in Vue8. I`m confused because when I purchased the product I searched the product page carefully and didnt see anywhere listing Vue9 only. Guess there wont be anymore purchases from C3D. Thank you.

No, no, you misunderstand..You can use the edit button to edit your download so that it will work in your version of Vue. You only need to select your version from the list..

You can save this so that you don't need to do it each time, although in my experience it doesn't always save your preference..

Im checking several of the other items that it cant read, like Hoodoo Rocks moss....and they dont list a version so dont know why it doesnt work. Just not going to buy there anymore, thx.

They won't list a version in the store, that's not what I'm trying to explain..

Obviously I'm not explaining it very well.

It doesn't matter what you buy, it will [should] work in your version of vue, but before you download it you need to click on the edit button next to the item in your account and tick your version of Vue or you may have problems..

I hope I explained it better yhis time, I'm sometimes not too good at that, sorry..

Yep I gotcha, just theres no option other than Vue9, and some like Hoodoo Rocks has no options at all, so it should work for any version. Time to get to work. Thankyou for the help.

The ones you can change between Vue versions are installer (.exe) files while the ones you can't change are zip files that you install manually. Changing version is merely so that the installer knows where to put the files, it doesn't mean it will just work with that version. You are licenced to use the files for any version of Vue you own but due to the changes between versions it is unlikely that a file will work on a version of vue earlier than the one it was created on.

Send an e-mail to support@cornucopia3D.com.  The product page shows Vue 9 all versions, so it should not have let you buy it if you don't have a registered copy of Vue 9.
