Sometimes it seems like it's just easier to add a curving line in Photoshop than to fiddle with a 100-section Easy-Pose cable in Poser. I just can't get the hang of those Easy-Pose things, in any precise way. And having 50 or 100 body parts that must be scrolled through drives me nuts.

So what is the easiest way to make smooth curving lines, say an S-shape, in Photoshop? Just drawing it by hand is too uneven and jumpy. Once I have a line of the desired thickness I can use Layer Properties to make it look more 3D. But to draw the thing to begin with...

Use the PenTool in photoshop.  It will allow you to create a curved line and adjust it until you get it the way you like it.  Then you can use the stroke feature. It's often used to create line art because it creates the smooth curves and lines.
