I purchased Poser 7 a long time ago and used it on my pc, now I am at P8 & P9 on PC, was wondering can I install my Poser 7 to my Mac with the same serial number and use the same cd that the insall was on?

The serial poser is the same for both Windows and Mac

Well, I just looked at my DVD for poser 7 and it says Win, so I guess I am out of luck, I don't have a Mac DVD. Thanks for the info though.

Depending on your Mac and the operating system, you can run windows software on it, I'm told. Since it would defeat the whole point of being on a Mac for me, I've never tried to run Windows software on it.

I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

Normally the DVD contains Poser software for windows and mac

is possible to install windows in mac program only with virtual machine (Paralles, VMware's Fusion, BootCamp)
estherau posted Wed, 26 October 2011 at 7:05 AM
well you wouldn't want to do that with poser because the poser verion works perfectly and as far as I know SM lets you use either for the price of one.
For other things like D3D morcloth script I found a workaround that did not involve emulators and windows installation (and risk of viruses etc)

SAMS3D it is installed on your mac you have to install OSX Lion Poser Pro 9 or 2012 because the earlier versions are not supported, if you can install OS X Snow Leopard version 7
EClark1894 posted Wed, 26 October 2011 at 8:37 AM
Well, actually, I'm still using OSX Leopard and running PP2012, so it works just fine, but I am planning to upgrade to Snow Leopard soon. I kinda want Lion to iron out a few of the kinks first.

Actually, I found the mac version of the Poser 7 and installed it on the mac. Worked great and all libraries were compatible with PC Libraries. Awesome, although I contacted Smith Micro and they said the serial number is only good for one machine, pc or mac. But that is okay, I have my Poser 9 on my pc workstation, just wanted one on my mac too.
Thanks again for all the assistance.
