Hey all
Since I uploaded my recent render of my character my renders are going really nuts I am getting artfiacts everywhere.
My renderings are mostly done pretty much mid way on all of the manual settings except for ray tracing which is usually 10 or 11 should I drop these settings slightly? or is the fact the artficats appearing a sign that I have a dying GPU.
If the GPU is dying what would be a good gpu for Poser not minding ethier nvidia or AMD
Cheers all

can you post a sample?
Raytrace bounce of 10-11 is way to high(in my opinion) unless you have a specific need. I use 3 or 4 which seems fine for most things.
Poser 7 and earlier do not use the GPU for rendering, just to diaply the image and the preview. If your gpu were failing I would expect defects on other screens , not just poser.
how many threads are you using to render, in your general settings ?

Ok I will sort one out. In terms of threading is at 8 using the 2 threads per core standard method.

Ok think I have fixed it now dropping the ray trace bounce from 10-11 to around 6-7 seems to have cleared it up.

Raytracing is fine at approximately 2-3 for general use. If there are reflective surfaces, then 3-5 should suffice.
