Now that Antonia has been developed and released I wondered if anyone is working on a new male figure. There was a very nice one in development here not long ago, but I don't know if the artist every finished it. Does anyone know anything about i?

That figure would be "Brad" and as far as I know, he's still "In the works".

Is brad by the Antonia team, or another party?

Brad is still being actively worked on. And it's not by the same modeler as Antonia but another party.

I have a Beta of Brad, but he had no texture or anything--that was probably 1 to 2 years ago when the developer offered him to us to try. He was definitely a good looking figure and I had high expectations.
Antonia needs a boyfriend; we need Brad soon!

After the release of Antonia Polygon ~ WM, and the Yuletide content release for Antonia, the next figure project will likely involve the release of a rig with weight-maps for a popular legacy figure. This will require an entirely different distribution approach in order to protect the intellectual property rights of the owner. I do not know if a rig with weight-maps will be released for the male counterpart of that figure or not.
PoserPlace is the home base for Diogenes/Phantom3D, who is the developer of Brad, and a central participant in our projects. Brad is on the projects agenda. Right now, Diogenes is considering releasing the work he does on Brad in a tutorial format in order to apprentice people in advanced Poser compliant mesh design, rigging, and weight-mapping. NO PROMISES on this. Diogenes is considering it.
All of these projects are bridges to a line of figures that will be designed to be fully Poser compliant, and to use the many neglected features of the newest versions of Poser. S/M, be on notice that we intend to push Poser to its limits.

I'm not insterested in developing my own figure, just being able to have some new ones to buy. I can do some very basic texturing and create simple props, that's about it. I was hoping for alternative to M5--but it sound like Brad is not yet ready for prime time.

There are a great many legacy figures that could enjoy some continued utility in P9/PP2012 with updated rigs and weight-maps. Mentoring folks in methods for reworking these figures will greatly increase the number of people who can undertake the work. The advantage of converting these figures is that people with large runtimes of expensive content could still use their investments, and therefore maybe be able to afford an up-to-date upgrade of Poser.

Essentially Behemoth was a morphed figure off of HIM, but HIM in his original form was practically unusable. Brad was coming along fantastically. I do hope that he is finished and available one day.

I am fairly sure that Diogenes has not abandoned Brad. Here is a link to a tutorial that he posted recently using Brad as a model.

I'm fairy sure, Sixus did an Adam spin off HIM too. If you compare the figures they are very similar.

From Left to Right:
HIM, Project Human, Adam, Behemoth, Behemoth 2, and Brad.
I love Behemoth 2 I wish Sixus would do more with him. He is a big improvement over the orginal Behemoth and looks more realistically human and less like a cartoon figure.
Frankly I think that HIM, Project Human, and Adam all look like aliens. I have a HIM mummy that's quite nice. There is also a HIM space man, which looks cool in a space suit, but again he looks like an alien.
