I have a love/hate relationship with Cornucopia3D.  Love the stuff there, hate the hassle of dealing with the site.  Seems like half the time I try to buy something, there's a problem. Usually some kind of technical difficulty.  Once it charged my credit card but didn't give me access to the products I bought.  (That was fixed in a couple of days, to give them credit.)  The last time I tried to buy stuff there, it choked when I submitted my credit card info, and left me with a cart full of stuff I couldn't buy.  Couldn't empty the cart, couldn't buy the stuff in it.  I kind of gave up then, and have been buying my Vue stuff at DAZ and Rosity instead.

It's probably been years since I bought something at Cornucopia3D.  So...is it any better these days?  I went there tonight and found large sections of the site unavailable due to maintenance issues, which wasn't reassuring.

For people in the C. Club...is it worth it?

(And if anyone wants to send me an invite, feel free.  Not sure I'll actually use it, but I am seriously considering it.   ;-)

I have not had any problems buying anything in years. I use it all the time and think it is worth it. I put more money in my account than I plan to spend at one time, and it makes it easy to purchase items and I don't have to go through any credit card hassle.

Why is an invite necessary? Perhaps I missed something there.

An invite isn't necessary.  But it says you get a free month or three if you invite someone and they join, so I thought I'd give someone that bonus if possible.

Randym 77 -

Send me an e-mail at paulas@fidnet.com and I'll be happy to send you an invite and get some extra time on my subscription. Didn't know about the invites.

I think the Club is worth it.  I've been able to pick up lots stuff that they have reduced to 99 cents on the monthy club discounts page and you also get a $5 voucher each month. The vouchers are a bit of a hassle because you can only use them on some items, but it can still save you some money.

Well, I did join.  Their payment system is kind of a pain, I must say.  You can't charge part of an order to your voucher and pay the rest via credit card or PayPal.  If you want to use the voucher, you have to transfer money to your Cornucopia3D account to make up any difference.  And you can only transfer money in $10 increments.  Wish they'd do it like DAZ and Rosity do, and let you just charge the balance due.

Yes, C3D sucks in this matter.

Well...I sort of like it, and I think I've saved money on upgrades by using it when there is a special deal or so on. But I can't give a firm, yes - it's had issues recently, and I often think they should do more for their CCers by offering more in terms of software and module discounts.

I certainly agree with you about the module discounts! It would be nice too if every so often they would give you a flat percentage off that you could use on any Vue objects, like you get with Renderosity.
