Subject: Turn OFF Wishlist notifications

While I applaud the eventual attempt to choose either individual or Daily Digest notifications about things in my wishlist going on sale (which I understand is still not working properly)... I'd like the option to turn off notification entirely so that I receive NO email whatsoever from Renderosity unless I choose to turn nortifications on. Is this possible? Or do I need to remove renderosity from my accepted senders list and create a Spam Rule that auto-deletes all mail from Renderosity going forward? I'd prefer the option to manually decide when to receive notifications so that I can turn it on again when I am in a position to act on such things, but for the time being I need a clutter free mailbox. In short... How do I turn off email notification of Wishlist items going on sale for the forseeable future? Thanks.

For wishlist notifications, unfortunately you will have to remove those items from your wishlist. You can find your wishlist by clicking on: Members > My Wishlist

For daily digest, look up on the top most right-hand corner of the web page, there is a small icon that looks like a chat bubble with a yellow/orange star on it right next to your sitemail..click that and you will be taken to a page where you can uncheck notifications. {please allow 24 hrs for the system to update the change}

For newsletters: Click on Members > My Profile, and scroll all the way to the bottom and choose "no" beside the phrase  'Receive email newsletters, announcements,
and special offers from this site?'

For Fave artists: Click on Galleries > My Gallery > My Favorite Artists  and turn off any you dont want notifications for.

Gallery Subscriptions are there also..click that and uncheck any you do not want notifications on.

For Fave Vendors: Click Members > My Artist Page > Store > Remove< on any you do not want notifications for. {This will remove the vendor from your favorites}

Hope this helps :)

Has it been turned off for 24 hours?

Edit to add: Also the notifications will still load into that area, you just wont get an email notification that they have done so..is that what you are referring to?

It's been turned off since they first added the option. I'm still getting the digest emails as well as the individual notifications.

Hi Jani,

Well.. It does and it doesn't. I managed to find all the spots for turning things off that you mentioned before you mentioned them. lol... Though having them listed does make it easier to check that I have indeed turned things off one way or another. BUT... the reason I built the wishlist in the first place is that I do want a place I can go to conveniently find the literally HUNDREDS of items that I have added to the wishlist over time so that I can re-access them later when I have a little cash to spend on persoal frivolities like vaporwear (ie Poser and Studio content). I don't hoiwever, need to know every time anything on my list goes on sale all the time. It becomes annoying and fills my email box with unwanted messages on pretty much a daily basis.

So... a couple of things to forward on to the powers that be. Suggestions from a frustrated user (and I CAN'T be the only one... seen other similar comments scattered about the forums)

  1. Please Put ALL email notification options on one page, preferably one titled "Email Notification Options" or something similarly obvious and visible.

  2. Offer an option that can turn ON and OFF the ability to receive email notifications about Wishlist items going on sale. I'm sure many of us have Wishlists that go on for many pages, and the ability to toggle notifications about sales would be a feature I'm sure many of your users would find useful, helpful and welcome.

For the time being, I'm going to have to add Renderosity.com to my blacklisted senders list which will block all emails coming from Renderosity. I have no intention of deleting my Wishlist. It's a useful feature that I use regularly and which allows me to find the things I actually want to purchase from Renderosity quickly and easily when I have the money to spend on them.

I've been a user and customer here for close to a decade now, and I'd hate to have to leave Rendoersity blacklisted, but it seems to be the only option I have right now to insuring that I do not receive unwanted emails from your company.

Poser is an enjoyable hobby, and I like doing business with Renderosity but I also want to be able to control the inflow of email from businesses that are more or less important to me to hear from on a daily basis. It saddens me to have to blacklist Renderosity as I do enjoy hearing from you, but I need to know that you'll be responsive to my needs and for the time being to keep my mailbox clutter free for somewhat more pressing matters that have cropped up recently. Thanks for listening, and here's hoping my suggestions will be taken into account in order to assure a mutually beneficial business relationship.

@Ravyns: I see that you are signed up for the newsletter, but the digest is indeed turned off...I will notify my fellow admins and have them check the issue out.

@macdubhgal: I do apologise, but at this time, the removal of the wishlist items is the only way to stop the notifications. Your suggestion has been made by others, so your not alone..and I will make sure to take it to my fellow admins again.

Thanks,

Jani

Thanks so much Jani. Currently (and a little sadly) filtering pretty much everything from here to Junk Mail, which seems to me a waste of resources and electricity and probably a few things I can't think of, but then nobody ever asked for billboards by the roadside or junk mail either, and the waste that goes into those bits of advertising seem to be secondary concerns for the folks purveying them... I do appreciate the feedback and the help, and the willingness to pass the message on. Perhaps one day sales services will recognize the possibilities in attracting more flies with honey, so to speak. Many thanks for your reply and clarification.
