This may sound like a stupid question...but what does

"1 entry per person, per category" what does the per category mean?

PoserPro 2014, Windows 7, AMD FX-6300 6 core, 8 GB ram, Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Its not stupid.

That means you can put an entry in for all the categories.  Example: You submit an entry for 3d and a different image for 2D.

I looked at the other comps and noticed that no-one has yet entered the animation one. It looks as though the same entry specs have been used for each version of the comp, which makes it hard for people to enter an animation if they can only send a jpeg or gif (I suppose they could send an animated gif)! ;)

Daz Studio 4.8 and 4.9beta, Blender 2.78, Sketchup, Poser Pro 2014 Game Dev SR5 on Windows 8 Pro x64. Poser Display Units are inches

There are additional specifications for such listed on the contest page.

3D is going to be more like Poser, Daz, Maya etc

2D should be drawnings etc

If you have an image done in 3D and then one in 2D you are welcome to enter both. Its just one entry per section. :)
