Subject: Any Encore Users Here?

I am trying to put together chapters in a movie I have made.I have Adobe Creative Suite 4 and the tutorials are useless. I would like some help in how to connect all the chapter scenes.Cheers

Not used it myself but i do play around with Premiere when we need video work done at the office.

 

maybe we can muddle through it if you want to give it a go...

Scrub through your timeline and put the line exactly where you want it, and hit the little Up-Arrow with the Plus sign at the upper right of the symbol - circled in yellow in the attached image.

Make sure the marker is selected, then go up to the upper right and Name it.

BTW - if you have the marker in the wrong place, you can move it after the fact - I was wrong, you don't have to have it EXACTLY in place when you first place it, but you get the idea - it'll place the maker exactly where the play-line is sitting.

Many thanks for your reply.I know how to create and name chapters.What I am having difficulty with is how to connect beginning and ending of scenes in the menu. Cheers

Okay, I'm not totally sure of what you're asking, so give me the end-user functionality of what you want it to do - something like, "When they click THIS, I want it to do THAT", kinda thing.

I have put together in Premiere Pro a movie of our trip away with the caravan club.And I have made chapters.I have then exported to Encore. In the movie I have about 10 sequences of which I would like the viewer to be able to press a button in the main menu and select the one they would like to watch.It is being able to connect all these sequences. Also I have made a combined movie of all my animations I have done and would also like to do the same with these.I will post a screen shot when I return as I have to out now! Cheers

These were done in Windows DVD Maker.The problem is they only pick scenes at random.

Here we have the thumb nails to select but again they do not give tou an option to select what you want! Cheers.

AAHH!! Okay, lemme make sure I have this right - you have finished around 10 individually rendered movies (I'm gonna call them "chapters" now) you want to put on a DVD (or Blu-Ray) so that someone can either play all, or select individual chapters.

Do I have that part right - just making sure?

And do you have a custom DVD Menu you've made -or using a preset one that came with Encore - either is fine - just making sure which one we're talking about.

I will be using a preset menu to start with until I get used to working with Encore. I have revisited the Encore video tutorial that came with the CS4 Suite.I am still a little unsure how to link everything! Cheers
