a cavity node would be an excellent addition to firefly. you could use it to drive other shaders, and create procedural mud/rust/grease/weathering/etc on objects easily.
however, since there isnt one - could you work around this by driving dirt and/or rust shaders with an AO node somehow? something like the old 3DS QuickDirt (which has been out for over a dozen years).
