Probably an elementary question, but . . .
I modeled a simple cabinet in Carrara 8 Pro. It has some drawers and other moving parts. I exported it as an .obj file and then imported it into Poser 8 and none of the parts can be moved in Poser.
Question: Is it possible to have animatable parts move as an .obj file imported into Poser?

export all parts as diffrent OBJ .. cabinet, drawers, doors " be sure NOT to move them in the 3d tool
Then Import them into poser and they will load into place..
Rig them etc etc and your done..
EDIT animated OBJ ?? maybe as a morph ..

Chris:
Thanks much for the instruction on exporting from Carrara and importing into Poser. I tried it and it ALMOST works. By the way, I'm using Poser 8 and Carrara 8 Pro.
I can now import each component into Poser and manipulate them. For whatever reason, they import in different sizes than what they were in Carrara. Also, as I understrand it, you said they will load into place. They don't, even though I did not check the "load on floor" or the "centered" boxes in Poser.
I'm guessing that I don't have the correct things checked in the Carrara export and the Poser import dialogue boxes. And you said not to move them in the 3d tool and I can't figure what you are referring to.
Could you please give me some guidance to correct the problem. Thank you. I really appreciate the help.
