Hello and merry christmas everyone
I have poser pro 2010 and i want to do the following:I have some pictures on my desktop jpeg files) and i want to import them in my poser material library in order to use them as textures. Can that be?

Absolutely, but you need an object eg a sphere to activate the Posersurface, then using a texture node import your texture.
Then open your material section and save it....Jan

I suggest creating a folder in runtime/textures and putting them there.
Then in Poser use a prop square and create a material for it by adding an image node and connecting it to the diffuse color input of the PoserSurface Node. (the one thats always there)
Then when it looks right save it to folder in the materials library as a material (mt5) .
To do the rest just change the image name on the image node and save it with a new name.
That will give you a material that can be applied to the selected material of anything.

Thank you all guys.I did EXACTLY what you said and i imported the image i wanted as a material in the material library. However another problem appeared.I wanted to use this image as a picture for a monitor in a poser scene i made (so that the monitor wouldn t be black). However when i try to upload the material on the monitor screen, though it seems that something is happening (the object changes colour when i import the material),when i render it ,the screen is still blank. It has changed colour but it s blank. However when i use this material to some other object it works perfectly.Ok i know that if this happens there s something wrong with the object and not with the material but whyyyyyy does this happen??????Can you help???
Thank you all!!!!!!

The television set, is the screen a separate .obj?
If it is make everything invisible but the screen and tell us what you see. Jan

Hmmm addition, since it changed color, you do have the image on it. On the texture map, adjust the U and V settings to around 200 each and see what you have or change the settings to .5 and see what you have. Yes it is normal, happened to me too.
You may need to play around with the texture map size and see if any change occurs and go from there

Can you give me a screenshot of your materials room with just the TV and screen and node setup?
