Hi, does anybody know if it is now possible to save/export a rendered object, such as a tree, in png format with a transparent background, like you do in Poser. I know it wasn't possible in Vue 6. Or if anybody knows a way round it, I'd be glad of the info.. thanks in advance..

there's a tick box to include the alpha channel in PNG files - that's probably what you are looking for.  It's under the "options" button when you save the render. or there's an option on the rendered image too looks like a square with a circle in it.

Happy new year btw :)

(this is in Vue 8.4 infinite)

First select the object you want from your scene, any object or objects and then go to "Render Options". You will see a drop down on the left side towards the bottom titled "Render What". Choose "only selected objects", then do as FrankT pointed out above. That gives you only the object and a transparent background.

Thanks to both of you for the info and thanks Frank for the pic. I will consider upgrading to the latest version now that I know it's possible.. Happy New Year to you all and thanks again :)
