Holy Cow, its going for $29.95 on Amazon with Free Super Saver Shipping!  Seems like a deal to me since Poser Debut is $49 on SM!!!

Poser Pro 10 is $57!!!

Just in case anyone wants an upgrade, or to jump in on the Poser World.  :)

Sounds a little bit too cheap in my ears.

If they can sell the product that cheap and still make money wonder what cost really is?

They ( Amazon) are probably given copies from Smith micro for even less
The expected retail cycle for poser 8 has long since expired now that poser 9 is out.

They are not making money. The new version makes the old inventory obsolete so they're unloading it. Amazon buys thousands of copies from SM up front to get a big discount and sells them as they can. Usually they profit from this. But not when a new version comes out.

On the flip side, Amazon sold out of their initial consignment of PP2012 almost instantly and they had to double their order. I don't know the story after that, but I expect they ran out of those early, too.

If those are legit licences, they can make the buyer eligible for an upgrade on the new version - really good deal.

Poser 11 Pro, Windows 10

Out of interest I checked Amazon UK- Poser 8 £153 but Poser 9 £149. Not exactly encouraging you to clear old stock.

PS £1 is around $1.50

Poser 11 , 180Gb in 8 Runtimes, PaintShop Pro 9
Windows 7 64 bit, Avast AV, Comodo Firewall
Intel Q9550 Quad Core cpu,  16Gb RAM, 250Gb + 250Gb +160Gb HD, GeForce GTX 1060

Supply and demand in the UK probably has almost nothing to do with the US.

In the US, Poser 8 is $30. Poser Debut (a crippled version of Poser 8 for beginners) is $39.99. Debut price dropped $10 since this thread was started.

Does that make any sense? Nope.

Hi  $30 USD for poser 8 is a great bargain!!!

Its not relevant enough to me to upgrade from P6

but for many older P6-7  "holdouts" this is an opportunity that should be seriously considered while it lasts .
