Hello All,
was wondering if anybody knows of any light presets or packages that has lights like this image has? I tried to create my own light but just can't get it to look ok.
thanks

For which version of Poser?
Also, if you use the little "insert image" (looks like a tree icon) thingie, and you change the size (first box with numbers is width) in the Appearance tab, make sure the second box has no numbers in it or you will get a distorted picture like the one above.

Good. You might invest a minute to put Poser version and units (inches/feet/meters?) into your signature.
The image you've posted is clearly from an ad, n'est pas? I would suggest that your version of Poser can render better skin than what's displayed. The lighting is simple: a spot over the right shoulder and a point light in front of the figure (slightly to the right, based on the shadows. IDL/IBL.. dunno. At least some of the reflections in the eyes are painted in: they don't match what's happening in the scene.
That's my guess.

bagginsbill's posts/threads on SSS skin and lighting are a good place to start.
in Poser 2012 it is relatively easy to get a real skin fresnel effect, instead of the strong (and fake) rimlight that was so popular back in Poser 4-5 :)
this is just a quick image i grabbed off google to illustrate fresnel - you can do much better in P2012.

She has nostril glow. She might have skin texture connected to ambient channel.
markschum posted Thu, 19 January 2012 at 10:33 AM
for nostril glow check the size of the shadow map in the light settings. If its 256 go to 512 or 1024.

Min shadow bias on the raytrace lights will take care of that also.

Have you tried contacting the person who made the image?
BTW, is it the James shader which has skin fresnel built in, I've been using 240?

Is human skin supposed to have reflections?

You can post the URL, so long as it's not the URL to Renderotica.
From looking at the character "style", I suspect it is from Illusions Designs? If so, I have to say that I absolutely adore their characters!

Just turning your link into a hyperlink, and adding a nudity tag.

To go by the shadow, try a spot with a pretty high blur and a gold tint to the front and a little to the left. And pointing down a little. I'd point it at her head, and position the spot to get that strong shadow behind her and light her in the front. Keep its intensity medium, and use IDL to keep the shading even. To get the rim lighting, add another white spot down, to the left, down, and behind the figure, . I'd also point this light at the figure's head. If you want a strong, thin rim, use a full intensity light and pull it as far back as you need.
If there's a Blinn node in the skin material, the Eccentricity is the value for the strength of the Fresnel effect on the Blinn. More excentricity means rougher surface means stronger Fresnel.
