Subject: Poser 9 to Vue 8 Frontier

OK, so I am finally getting around to play in Vue. Working between Poser 9 and Vue 8 Frontier I've got good and bad results:

**Good News: **

Collada import works, with only one caveat...you need to spoof the Collada import to think you are importing from Daz (I guess to get around a version check).  I have to open the Collada dae file, and change the line

<authoring_tool>Poser 9.0.1.18621</authoring_tool>

to

<authoring_tool>DAZ Studio 3.1 </authoring_tool>

...and it works!  Bump Maps and Tranparencies are not importing, but that seems a common issue.

Bad news:

Unfortunately, now that I am up to Poser 9, Vue 8 Frontier is not supporting the PZ3 import.

I've read that if you have an older version (I do, Poser 7) that I can point Vue to that, and then import the Poser 9 PZ3's.  Problem with that is that I don't really want to clutter my system with a whole 'nother install of Poser.  Not sure I can even install both at the same time?

Anyway, does anyone know what are the minimum files needed from Poser 7/8 to have Vue work for the import.  I tried just the Exe, but that was not enough.

Poser 9 PZ3 importing into Vue requires version 10 now and 64-bit software, I believe.
